General information: 2005 - 2009  Crisp Issues
Issued under the Central Bank of the Bahamas Act 2000, the CRISP (Counterfeit Resistant Integrated Security Product) family of banknotes is the first in Bahamian history to offer a
range of denomination-specific features designed to combat denominationally up-rated forgeries (i.e. turning a low-value note into a higher denomination).
CRISP banknote paper is also coated
with a new sizing agent to help prevent the chemical removal of inks from the paper.
In 2013 the Central Bank of the Bahamas has introduced a modified 5 dollars note, where the map of the Bahamas on the front side of the note has been slightly changed.
