Generalinformation: 1984 - 2001 Issues
These notes are like the preceding issues, but with a revised Urdu inscription on the back (at lower center) which can be translated as “Earning legal livelihood is equal to prayer.”
The 1 rupee note was replaced by a coin in the 1990s, but was reissued temporarily in 2001 to use up the remaining stock of unissued notes. - Source: The Banknotebook.
