Description: Colour: Green and brown - Front: English and Swahili text; farmer with hoe; coat of arms; corn stalks; bank emblem. - Back: English and Swahili text; two trucks; grain silos in Jinja. - Solid security thread with demetalized 1000.  - Watermark: Crested crane. - Printer: (Unknown) - Size: 150 x 75 mm. - Material: Paper.
General information: These notes are like the preceding issues, but the windowed security thread has been replaced with a solid thread, the denomination now appears more clearly in the lower left on the front, and intaglio symbols for the partially sighted have been added to the lower right on the front. Also, a new 20,000-shilling denomination was issued for the first time. These notes have prefixes that resume where the preceding issues end, except for the new denominations that start at AA.
